Essences was born out of a pivotal moment in my life. At a time when health issues left me unable to pursue my original work, hair braiding, I found myself at a crossroads. I feared I might never braid again, so I turned to prayer, seeking guidance for an alternative from God.

One fateful day, while watching a reality show, I witnessed a contestant winning by showcasing a captivating product—a handmade candle. In that moment, I felt a whisper from the Holy Spirit encouraging me to explore the world of candle making. Although I didn't initially take it seriously, the Lord had a plan.

The signs truly began to align when I shared my desires with a client, who then opened up about her own candle-making business and journey. I started offering her candles to my clients, and it became completely evident that my prayers had been answered. Throughout my recovery from total knee replacement surgery in 2021, I delved deeply into the craft, and today I can confidently say that Essences offers the very best candles you will find. Our products are a living testament to a journey of faith, resilience, and an unwavering belief in a higher purpose.
