Essences was born out of a pivotal moment in my life. At a time when health issues left me unable to pursue my original work, hair braiding, I found myself at a crossroads. I feared I might never braid again and so, I turned to prayer , seeking guidance for an alternative from God.

One fateful day, as I watched a reality show, I witnessed a contestant winning by showcasing a captivating product -a handmade candle. In that moment, I felt a whisper from the holySpirit encouraging me to explore the world of candle making. Although I didn't initially take it serious, the Lord had a plan.

It wasn't until a client told me about her candle business when I shared with her about my desires and she had also shared her own candle-making journey that I began to see the signs. I started offering her candles to my clients, and it became evident that my prayers has been answered. Throughout my recovering from total knee replacement surgery in 2021, I delved into the world of candle making, and I can confidently say that, Essences offers the very best of candles you'll find. Our candles are a testament to a journey of faith, resilience, and unwavering believe in a higher purpose.

                    CANDLE CARE

Taking care of your candle is one of the key ways to maximize their lifespan. To keep your candles burning beautifully and safely, Always remember to trim the wick to 1/4inch before each use, and never turned it on for  more than 4 hours at a time. If you accidentally trimmed your wick too short, try to remove some of the wax to expose more wick. We also recommend using a long lighter to reach the bottom of your candle vessel as the candle reaches down in, order get the most out of your candle.
